Feriados MCP

Ask your AI assistant about Portugal's national public holidays and get dates from a database instead of the model's memory. Free, no account, no API key.

Moveable holidays such as Good Friday, Easter and Corpus Christi change every year, and models get them wrong. This server answers from the official calendar.

Connecting

Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop): Settings -> Connectors -> Add custom connector, URL https://mcp.50nos.pt/feriados.
Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http feriados https://mcp.50nos.pt/feriados
Other MCP clients: any client that supports remote servers over streamable HTTP. No authentication is needed.

Then ask things like "when is Corpus Christi next year?" or "which holidays fall on a Monday in 2027?".

Tools

Tool	What it does
`list_holidays`	All national public holidays of a year, with date and Portuguese name. Takes `year`.
`next_holiday`	The first holiday on or after a date. Takes `after` (`YYYY-MM-DD`), default today in Lisbon.

Both tools are read-only. The data covers 2026 and 2027: the 13 national holidays of Lei 8/2016. Municipal holidays are not included.

For developers

Streamable HTTP: POST https://mcp.50nos.pt/feriados, JSON-RPC 2.0, MCP protocol 2025-11-25 (also 2025-06-18, 2025-03-26, 2024-11-05).
Stateless: no sessions and no server-to-client stream, so JSON responses only.
GET /feriados returns this page.
